In a world of standard deviations (as Olivier Hamant* puts it), where events that used to be exceptional are becoming less rare and more extreme, we need to rethink the way we create, innovate and manage organizations. Systemic approaches enable us to consider the system as a whole, including its interactions, rather than its elements, which is the way we've approached problems for the past 200 years.
But beyond techniques, we also need to consider the mindset, the ethics that will enable us to better respect the biosphere (of which we are obviously a part). We want to be “Life Centred”.
It's not a question of advocating an absolute truth, but of training individuals to find their own way in their organization. This can't be achieved through classic training courses that are consumed, but through a more systemic approach in which each individual is the actor of his or her own transformation.
Our ambition is to offer training in systemic approaches, taking into account methodology and mindset.
*Olivier Hamant is Director of the Michel Serres Institute and author of "La 3ème voie du vivant" and "Antidote au culte de la performance".
We are a non-profit association founded by former and current employees of a large IT company who are part of a movement called “Life Centred Design”, whose aim is to promote systemic approaches in business.
In corporate environment, we have carried out projects in a systemic way (e.g. related to human rights regulations). It became clear to us that it was very difficult to obtain a long-term commitment and therefore to bring them to a successful conclusion.
It was obvious that we needed to become advocates of systemic approches and to that end, we had the idea of creating a training center. A place where anyone and everyone can come and be trained and transformed by systemic methodologies and the mindset that accompanies them.
Axel and Laurent are the main training facilitators.
Axel brings his intuition and experience of training in organizations. Laurent has used and developed systemic approaches and will share his experience with you.
We are supported by Claire, Clotilde, Serge, Sylvain and Joseph for the French-speaking part, and more widely by a network of Life Centred Designers in Europe and beyond.
The trainings we offer are experiential. To find out more, click here
